Driving Directions (Click Here for Printer Friendly Version )

We recommend reading this paragraph carefully.  The complex of offices that we are located in can be confusing because it is in such a remote private location so if you feel lost in any way, do not hesitate to call.  Our staff will guide you in over the phone.  Our building #1200 is on the left as you enter and we have a beautiful privacy fence for our entering patients.  We are located on the left side, and parking is behind the fence where the entrance to the building is.   Please pull completely around the fence to the left and park privately behind our privacy fence on our private property.  The picture below is the view of our private facility which is inside the Samuel Wells Medical complex.  We are on the left.  Please drive around the white privacy fence and and park.  The #1200 is on the building and also on the fence.

FLORIDA WOMEN’S CENTER – View from the front of facility as you drive up.  Our facility in ON THE LEFT with the white privacy fence.  Pull around to the left after the fence and park behind the fence.  The entrance and ample parking is available behind the fence on the Left.Florida Women's Center

WE ARE ON THE LEFT AND OUR OFFICE “FLORIDA WOMEN’S CENTER” IS PICTURED ABOVE.  PULL FORWARD AND AROUND THE FENCE TO THE LEFT AND PARK BEHIND THE PRIVACY FENCE ON THE LEFT

Our facility is pictured above and is securely located in Jacksonville, Florida directly behind Memorial Hospital in a private medical complex. You cannot see our facility from the street as it is inside the private medical complex. To find our facility, it is best to enter from the very front of the Memorial Hospital, at the Emergency Room sign entrance to the hospital.  This road has a sign and is Samuel Wells drive.  It is directly across from Cort Furniture on University Blvd which makes it easier to find if you look for their sign.  To enter our complex in the back of the hospital, enter at the marked emergency entrance to Memorial Hospital which will now be on your right as you enter.  This is labeled Samuel Wells Drive. Turn on this road at this entrance and follow this road (Samuel Wells Drive) straight back until you reach the Samuel Wells Medical Complex, which is at a four way stop behind the hospital.  There will also be a white sign showing you where you are.  Before you reach our complex, Memorial Hospital will be on your right.  Drive into the complex which starts at building #400 in front of you and keep going all the way to the back.  We are located in the back of the complex, on the left, the second building from the end.  We are Building 1200, and make a note of this.  Our sign is on the front of our building to the left and it is brown and tan and says “Florida Women’s Center”.

CAUTION: Pay attention because there is a freestanding office on the right as you drive up that appears to have made a sign that looks very similar to ours, even using the same size and lettering styles.

This is one of those so-called pregnancy crisis centers.  The reputation for attempting to interfere with women seeking health care by these crisis centers is well known.  The name this one uses is   “Women’s Help Center, and has a greenish lettered sign that appears to be designed to look just like ours.  It appears this may have been done to confuse patients seeking our services.  This so-called “Help Center” is not our medical office.  Our medical facility, Florida Women’s Center, is on the left, behind the large white 8 foot privacy fence which also has our #1200 building # directly on it.  For your safety and well being, we want to help you avoid getting tricked or confused and end up in the wrong place.  The picture of the building below is on the right of the entrance way.  If there anyone is out front who waives or tries to flag you to stop, do not stop.  They are not associated with us and they may give you incorrect information.

To assist you, we have provided the PICTURE BELOW to show you in advance a photo of an office that IS NOT OUR MEDICAL OFFICE.  We do not want you to get confused.   Always use your common sense and if you are confused in anyway, call our office immediately.  Be comforted that no anti-choice offenders, persons, or protestors are allowed on our private property and we maintain a private and secure property perimeter.

The sign and office pictured below was recently placed on the right of the entrance as you approach our facility and again, this IS NOT OUR FACILITY.   Our office is on the left, and depicted by the picture above.  The photo of the sign below represents an office on the right.  We do not have anyone out front from our office to meet you so if anyone attempts to stop you, they are not there to help you find us.  If you have an appointment for medical services at our facility, we recommend ignoring any persons who may be outside as you park to the left around and behind our privacy fence on our private and secure location.  If you go to the wrong place, this may delay your actual scheduled medical care or even cause you to miss your actual appointment for medical care and medical services at Florida Women’s Center or other licensed medical doctors in the area for whom you had an appointment with.

Florida Women's Center

Women's Center

THE ABOVE OFFICE IS NOT OUR FACILITY SO DON’T LET THIS SIGN CONFUSE YOU.  WE ARE ON THE LEFT WITH THE LARGE WHITE PRIVACY FENCE.  This building shown above is not building #1200.

Driving Directions from the North

All Georgia Communities, S. Carolina, Alabama, and North Florida or North Jacksonville

I-95 South to Jacksonville. I-95 comes in from the North Georgia cities and also from the West via I-10. If you are coming from the north, i.e. Georgia via I-95, stay in the left hand lane when you see Jacksonville. If you are coming from west Georgia, it is best to take I-10 to I-95 south in Jacksonville. If you are taking I-95, simply stay on I-95 and pass by downtown on your left over the river. South on I-75 is a good way to get to I-10 east. Once you have reached I-95 south, stay on this interstate and pass by downtown Jacksonville on your left. Follow the signs on I-95 that says Jacksonville Beaches/Daytona Beach. Go over the river bridge. Then get in the right lane. You will get off to the right on Exit 349 which says Jacksonville Beaches. This road is also called Route 90 and will turn into Beach Blvd. Stay in the right hand lane on Beach Blvd for approximately 3 miles until you come to the large intersection of University Blvd. Cross over and go through this intersection and take the first road on the right after University Blvd. which is Hickman road. Go approximately 1–2 blocks to a four way stop sign. At this stop sign, turn left. You are now in the Samuel Wells Medical complex. Follow the road around the buildings and we are located on the left in Building 1200. As always, if you have any questions or need assistance, please call 800-733-7993 or 904-398-8005.

Additional Details

  • If you come from the south on University heading towards Memorial Hospital, there is a facility named “Women’s Help Center” located on the right of the street by a separate abortion clinic other than ours.  Patients sometimes get confused and think this is a facility that provides abortion procedures, or gets confused by the name when seeking abortion services.  These “help centers” are purposefully opened by anti-choice organizations near or next to abortion providers on purpose and patients can get confused as we have learned and go there by mistake because the name confuses them.  Pay close attention to the names of the facilities to avoid ending up in a place you don’t want to be.  Also there is an additional abortion clinic  located on University Blvd which is on the way and only about 1 mile away.  There commonly are numerous protesters in front of this building. THIS IS NOT OUR FACILITY, so drive right on by if you see protestors on University. Our facility is several blocks away and not able to be seen at all from the street, as it is located directly behind Memorial Hospital in a privately owned medical complex, which is actually accessed by turning into the emergency entrance to the hospital or by turning on Hickman Road off Beach Blvd. For your enhanced privacy, there are no signs visible on University Blvd representing our facility.
  • If you turn right at the hospital entrance which also has a green street sign which indicates Samuel Wells Drive, it will seem as though you are turning into the emergency entrance to the hospital due to our location, but we are behind the hospital in a secure medical complex.
  • After you turn right, follow the road into the complex which will take you under a pedestrian overpass walkway between Brooks Rehab Center (on your left) and the emergency entrance to Memorial Hospital (on your right). Follow this road which will lead you to a 4 way stop sign.
  • At the stop sign, go straight and you have entered the Samuel Wells Medical Complex. You will have a slight bend to the right and then you will drive through to the second building from the end on the left. The numbers of the building will increase as you drive further into the complex. Our facility is clearly marked with our name on the front and a large 1200 on the side.  Florida Women’s Center is on the left in Building #1200.

From the South

Orange Park, Palatka, Daytona, St. Augustine, Palm Coast, Orlando and all areas south of Jacksonville

  • I-95 North to Jacksonville. Exit 345 (Bowden Road to University Blvd.) At the bottom of the ramp turn right, then at the first light (Spring Park) turn left. Spring Park Road will take you to University Blvd.
  • Turn right onto University Blvd.
  • Once you have exited I-95 and have reached University Blvd, these are the directions which will lead you directly to the facility.
  • Go 1.5 miles to 3599 University Boulevard S. Look for a large hospital called Memorial Hospital. You will pass a variety of shops and strip mall plazas. You will also pass 2 facilities that patients can get confused by. Pay close attention to the names as we are not located on University Blvd although that is our address.  We are behind Memorial Hospital which is an easy landmark to look for. The first confusing name is a facility of some type called the  “Women’s Help Center.    They do not provide abortion procedures or services and also may not readily inform you of this or they may delay you if you go in which could cause you to miss you appointment.  Coming from this direction you will also pass a separate abortion clinic on the right that commonly has protesters in front of it on University Blvd.  This is not us either. Both have street visibility and unfortunately of course are commonly picketed by abortion protesters.  Just remember we are behind a large hospital called Memorial Hospital.   If you have not reached the large Memorial Hospital, then you are not there. That makes it easy to recognize.  You will see Memorial Hospital on your right and a Cort Furniture store on your left. There are three entrances to the hospital and you need to go to the third entrance, across from the Cort Furniture store which will have a green sign showing the “Emergency Entrance/Samuel Wells Medical Complex.”
  • Our facility is not able to be seen from the street, as it is located directly behind the Memorial Hospital in a private medical complex, which is accessed by turning into the emergency entrance to the hospital. For your enhanced privacy, there are no signs visible from University Blvd representing our facility.

  • Don’t forget, if you are coming from the Pensacola and surrounding areas in this time zone, there is a one hour time change when you come to Jacksonville.
  • If, by some chance, you take I-95 to University Blvd, go 1.5 miles to 3599 University Boulevard S. Look for a large hospital called Memorial Hospital. You will pass a variety of shops and strip mall plazas. You will also pass 2 facilities that patients get confused by. Pay close attention to the names as these facilities ARE NOT “FLORIDA WOMEN’S CENTER”.
